Wing & Window aims to make nature writing useful, careful, and clear about what is known. We review each piece for accuracy, readable explanations, and advice that fits its stated context.
Accuracy and care
Writers should use dependable, relevant sources for factual claims and check identification details against more than one useful clue where possible. Articles should distinguish observation from interpretation, note meaningful regional variation, and avoid overstating what a reader can conclude from one encounter.
Independence and corrections
Editorial decisions are made for reader value, not to satisfy a partner. We welcome correction requests through the Contact page; when a published detail is wrong or materially unclear, we review it and update the text with an appropriate correction note.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid collaborations and partner placements are labelled plainly so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial work. A partner does not receive control over unrelated coverage. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when relevant, they are identified as such and are not presented as documentary photographs.
