Write for us

Wing & Window welcomes pitches that help readers notice birds and wildlife in the places they already live. Send proposals through the Contact page and select the editorial option.

What we welcome

We are interested in clear, original service pieces about observation, identification, habitat, seasonal change, and coexistence. Strong ideas have a defined reader question, a useful point of view, and examples that do not depend on specialist access or costly gear.

What to include

Tell us the working idea, who it serves, what readers will understand or be able to notice, and why the subject suits Wing & Window. Mention relevant sources or experience without relying on credentials as a substitute for a clear argument. A short outline is more useful than a finished manuscript at the pitch stage.

Sending a proposal

Use the Contact page to submit your pitch, choosing the editorial question option and including your name and a way to reply. Please send the proposal only; we will ask for a full draft if it is a fit. We cannot promise publication or a response to every submission.
